Would you like to give us a helping hand? Which can! • Kien activity, every Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. You guide 1 or more people. The idea is not to predict everything, but to encourage participants to do this independently (under supervision). We are also looking for volunteers who want to act as key callers. Suppose the volunteers are ill, we can call on the callers. • Transfer volunteer on Monday and Friday mornings from 9:45 am to 11:00 am. It is about bringing people who live within the Ruijsenberg and come to the Boulevard for the activities. • Help prepare the terrace for spring and summer. We have a number of clients who would really like to ''help out'' but cannot do this independently. Preferably on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Think of putting flowers, cleaning chairs and tiles. • Baking apple pies, fresh apple pies are baked every Thursday morning. The volunteers run this activity independently with some clients. How nice if more clients can participate in this fun and tasty activity. Time on Thursday morning is from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Of course, coffee will be ready for you during and after the activities! If you have become enthusiastic, please contact us. We are happy to look at the possibilities with you while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. You can also contact us via the Zorgboog website. When you start volunteering at Zorgboog, we will digitally request a Certificate of Good Conduct for you. This was requested by us completely free of charge.

Home-Start Helmond

The volunteers of Humanitas Home-Start offer support to families in Helmond who temporarily need a helping hand. The support often consists of having a chat and offering a listening ear, talking about raising children, playing games with children, reading aloud, sometimes helping with homework. Also going out together, exploring the neighbourhood. Always demand-driven and doing and thinking based on the possibilities of the family. All our volunteers receive training in advance, and we try to match the family's demand as well as possible with the wishes and possibilities of the volunteer. Volunteers who do not yet fully master the Dutch language, but for example speak Turkish, Moroccan or Polish are also of great added value! So do you still have a place in your heart to support another family? Then we would like to plan an introduction. Greetings, Evelyn, Tanja & Saskia (coordinators Home-Start Helmond)

Pieter is looking for a mentor!

Weekly · 3 to 4 hours
Mentorschap Zuidoost Brabant, Stichting

Pieter is looking for a mentor! Pieter is a man who lives in a care institution. His mother recently passed away and Pieter now has no parents. His only sister lives abroad. Pieter no longer gets visitors and he no longer goes to drink coffee with a large piece of apple pie on a terrace, which he likes so much. Now Pieter has to go to the dentist and the supervisors of the care institution with the question: who gives permission for treatment under anesthesia. Pieter himself cannot give permission, because he does not understand what is being asked of him. In the past, Pieter's mother was called and she signed a declaration of consent. Peter needs a mentor! Someone who regularly visits Pieter, gets to know him and knows what he likes. But also someone who can make decisions in the field of care and well-being (treatment, nursing, care and guidance, so not about money matters), which Pieter cannot make himself because he does not understand them and cannot oversee the consequences of his decisions. Mentorship Southeast Brabant is looking for volunteers who want to become a mentor for people like Pieter. These volunteers receive basic training so that they can do their job well-rested. In addition, there are regular meetings with other mentors where questions that arise with mentors are discussed, where in-depth knowledge is provided. There is also always support from one of the foundation. Mentorship is a task laid down in law. The time it takes from the mentor depends on the client and his situation. But on average it takes 2 to 3 hours every two weeks. One time a visit is enough and the next time you go to the hospital for a treatment and it takes an afternoon. Does the above appeal to you and you can find yourself in the following profile a mentor is a volunteer who… ...can communicate well ...is initiative …is skilled in decisions and actions …cooperates well …independent and with integrity …can set boundaries ... can critically examine one's own behavior please feel free to contact Mentorship Southeast Brabant [website hidden]

Making dreams come true for a child with trauma.

Project · 20 to 30 hours in total
Dream4Kids

As a dream guide, you organize a unique Dream Day, always together with another dream guide (possibly from your own network). You are responsible for the organization and execution of the Dream Day, of course with the support of a dream coordinator from Dream4Kids. You give a child with a trauma a gift for life! What are you going to do? You talk to the child to find out what his/her most beautiful dream is. With this input you create the script for the Dream Day. Within 6 to 8 weeks you realize this special day and for this you also collect financial resources and sponsorship. Dream4Kids helps you with this with, among other things, a digital collection box and you receive a starting amount. Afterwards you make the dream report with photos with the help of a copywriter and you put together a photo album as a memory of this unique day. Who are you? As a dream guide you are at least 21 years old, you have your driver's license (+ access to a car) and you have a good deal of creativity and organizational talent. You are aware that you are dealing with a vulnerable group of children. Do you want to help make dreams come true? Send a message.

Volunteer program manager at Over Rood

Weekly · 3 to 4 hours
Over Rood

In relative terms, the Netherlands has the largest number of self-employed persons without employees in the world. Of course, these are not just success stories. Over Rood is a volunteer organization that has been helping self-employed persons and small entrepreneurs to regain overview and insight into their finances for almost 10 years (divided over 15 branches). Not by taking over the problems, but by coaching and working together. A lot is happening in the Netherlands at the moment. The bills and perhaps even the arrears add up quickly. People worry about the future and sometimes consider quitting self-employment. The expectations are gloomy, but Over Rood is ready for the developments. For various locations throughout the Netherlands we are looking for: Volunteers (minimum 4 hours per week) What are you going to do? You guide freelancers in going through a trajectory within Over Rood. The objective of each process is that the client can get to work himself to solve his problems and to work towards a financially healthy future. As a volunteer you share your knowledge and experience with your client and you help to gain structure and overview. You help make difficult choices. You act as a sparring partner. Brings in your knowledge and skills and offers a listening ear. No route is the same. Sometimes the request for help is purely financial-administrative, while at other times advice about business operations makes the difference. You get entrepreneurs out of a negative spiral and help them pick up the thread again. On average you will guide 5 to 10 clients per year with a time commitment of at least 4 hours per week. This is an unpaid position, expenses are (more than) reimbursed. You report directly to the branch manager. What is the profile of a volunteer at Over Rood? Empathetic, unbiased and approachable are Over Rood's core values. We have this in common with our volunteers. As a volunteer you use your knowledge and extensive experience, for example as an independent entrepreneur, director, operational manager or manager in the guidance process. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with people who will benefit greatly from it and you find it a challenge to empower people. In addition, you have the understanding and patience needed to adapt to the pace of the client. You have HBO/University working and thinking level. Knowledge of and experience with managing/coaching/directing (groups of) people. You are empathetic and can empathize with the problems, mental situation and living conditions of clients, without becoming emotionally involved. Demonstrable experience or familiarity with the tricks of the trade when running your own business. Excellent command of the Dutch language in word and writing is a requirement. Important skills: • Being able to listen, summarize and signal well • Structuring, organizing and planning • You can assess a business plan and financial plan • You have basic knowledge of administration and basic knowledge of marketing and sales • You get along well with Excel and find your way on the internet • You have knowledge of different tax types (IB, VAT, Vpb) What do you get in return? Room to make a socially relevant contribution with your knowledge and experience. Appreciation of clients and satisfaction in your work. You make a valuable contribution to the Dutch economy and a healthy business climate, which also offers support in difficult times. Independent work with very good support from the organization where you can determine your own times. Socially involved colleagues who, just like you, use their knowledge, experience and strength to really make a difference for our clients. A solid and instructive internal training. Do you recognize yourself in the above profile? Then we are very curious about you!

Cooking at the Geriatric Rehabilitation Keyserinnedael Within Keyserinnedael there are two group homes specifically aimed at the rehabilitation of people with dementia or other memory problems. In this protected living environment, clients can temporarily stay and rehabilitate. Keyserinnedael is located in the centre of Helmond. The homes have a central living room with a kitchen. The atmosphere is warm and good, an expert team, of all ages, of professionals, students and volunteers. Geriatric Rehabilitation is always temporary in nature. The focus is always on returning to their own living environment. This means that clients are always encouraged to function as independently as possible where possible. Volunteers have an important place in Geriatric rehabilitation. In addition to the professional care of the staff, they provide extra attention. Their involvement contributes to the well-being of the rehabilitant. They can add something to the rehabilitant's short-term stay in all kinds of areas. As a volunteer in this department, you must radiate calm, approach clients with a soft voice and be able to deal with and empathize with the behavior of clients. This can be understood behavior but also misunderstood behavior such as dealing with mood swings and/or verbal or physical aggression. Our clients have a great need for safety, which we offer by being close to them, radiating warmth and calm and showing empathy. Cooking volunteers: We are looking for a cooking volunteer for these group homes, who can cook a fresh meal at least once a week for a group of up to 20 clients. The cooking takes place in the home itself. It is appreciated if you can involve the clients in the preparations and let them contribute in their own way, so that they are actively involved. This is also beneficial for their rehabilitation process. The menu is put together in consultation with you and the groceries are taken care of. In principle, it concerns a main course. The meal is prepared in the communal kitchen of the group homes. You start preparing the meal at 10:30. It would be great if you could help with serving and cleaning up afterwards. Days are negotiable. In the evening, we are also looking for a volunteer from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM who can help with serving the meals and cleaning up afterwards. If you also find being independent so important and you like to cook, please contact us. You can also do this via the Zorgboog website. We would be happy to look at the possibilities with you while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. Before you can start as a volunteer at Zorgboog, we will request a VOG, Certificate of Conduct for you. We do this digitally. A VOG requested by us is free.
