Do you want to make a difference for countless people every day by taking them from A to B? Do you like being the hostess or host? Then come and work as a voluntary driver on bus 47 at the Welfare and Old and Young Foundation in Leidschendam - Voorburg!!


Under the motto: getting to know each other and helping each other, Woej is there for all residents in Leidschendam-Voorburg. Our three community centers offer various activities, which are often organized by volunteers. We support and encourage residents who want to do something for their neighborhood or neighbors. Elderly people can come to us for support.
We are working together with residents, other organizations and the municipality to create a Leidschendam-Voorburg where you can live comfortably and safely and where everyone participates.
Woej employs 34 professionals and approximately 500 volunteers.

Bus 47 falls under the transport department. This line runs Monday to Saturday from Leidschendam-Zuid to Duivenvoorde and back. At the moment there is an adjusted timetable due to Covid-19.

Tasks as a volunteer
Volunteer drivers are requested for this bus service who are willing to drive on this bus in accordance with a timetable. The timetable starts at approximately 9:45 AM to 3:40 PM. The bus is a small 7-seater bus for which an ordinary B(E) driving license is required. This bus service does not require assistance with boarding and alighting and there is no wheelchair transport.

What do we ask of you?
You are socially skilled, customer-friendly and flexible in dealing with passengers and colleagues. You have at least a B driving license and are in good health. The willingness to stand in for colleagues during illness or holidays is appreciated.

What's in it for you?
You are well trained. You will work in a friendly team of drivers and co-drivers and a special driver's cafe is organized 4 times a year. You meet a lot of people, which expands your network.

Working days and working hours
The working days and hours are determined in consultation. Your commitment is included in a roster with fellow drivers and is at least half a day per week.
