Location de Haarstraat is a location where living, well-being and care are combined in the city centre of Gorinchem. At the location Haarstraat 27 clients with a physical disability and/or Non-Congenital Brain Injury (NAH) live. We are looking for volunteers for Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. We would love it if you had a bite to eat with us, but of course this is not mandatory! From the Emmahuis, a group of people with disabilities goes outside on Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to collect glass. They go door to door with people from the neighborhood to collect empty bottles and other glassware. They take this to the bottle bank. As a volunteer, you will provide a humorous young man (21 years old) with a pleasant Saturday. He lives at our residential location Blokhuis in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. He can laugh a lot at funny videos and he likes to play a game together. He has a serious intellectual disability, is in a wheelchair and is deaf. However, with a few simple gestures you can easily make contact with him and build a nice bond. During the week he has a daytime activity, but he gets bored in the weekend. We are looking for a volunteer for her who will visit her once every 2 weeks on Thursday (or possibly Friday morning) and can teach her how to take pictures. As a volunteer, you will cook a delicious, healthy meal for our residents of the Stierstraat. Our residents have a mental disability and love conviviality and good food. We are looking for a cooking volunteer who wants to cook for us regularly. You will come to us around 4:30 PM and start preparing dinner. Making children aware of global citizenship and together raising €10,000 for families in Lungalunga, Kenya - an amount that Wilde Ganzen will double. The campaign is concrete and tangible: students save for chickens and cows, with which the most vulnerable families in LungaLunga can build a sustainable income. The campaign will take place in the first half of 2025, with Wilde Ganzen organizing a national campaign week at the end of April. As a coordinator, you will play a crucial role in this. What will you do? As coordinator, you are the driving force behind this campaign. You motivate schools to participate in a way that suits them, help them think about the content of their campaign and support the implementation.
