We are caring: our attendants on the 3 buses help our customers get on and off and they help with the walker, the shopping cart or the lift. They also settle payments with customers. They also maintain contact with our office via mobile phone. The office of our local bus is located at Minervaplein in 110-Morgen. Our volunteers work one or more half days per week. They receive no compensation, but an outing is organized twice a year.

We can currently use new volunteers. We would appreciate it if you would like to do this work for a few years.
The Belbus is run by volunteers, that is: people who selflessly do something for others in their spare time.
Belbus is not a professional transport company, but you can count on Belbus volunteers!
More than seventy volunteers take Belbus customers to every address within the Hillegersberg-Schiebroek area five days a week.

You too can work as a volunteer at Belbus!
You are welcome as a driver, supervisor or office employee.

• Driver
Naturally, you have a BE driving license.
To start with, you will spend a few weeks as a supervisor on one of the buses.
You must have a good knowledge of the streets of Hillegersberg and Schiebroek.
You must pass the driving style analysis.
In addition, it is important that you are patient, both with customers and in traffic.

• Accompanist
You are in good condition, because you will often get on and off the bus, to ring the bell and to help customers get on and off.
You tell the driver where he/she has to go and keep track of the journeys on a journey list.
You speak Dutch sufficiently to be able to talk to customers and colleagues and keep track of the journey lists.
The passengers pay the fare to the attendant, usually by card.
The supervisor notes on the trip list that/or a customer has paid.
And the attendant maintains contact with the office and with the other buses via mobile phone.
Patience is also important for a supervisor.
You must be able to get along well with older people.

• Office worker/star
Office workers answer the phone and enter trips into the computer.
They maintain contact with the buses via a mobile phone about the return journeys.
They also make coffee or tea for the drivers and supervisors. They come for a break mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
In the afternoon an employee comes to do the planning for the next day.
To plan the rides, a thorough knowledge of the streets of Hillegersberg and Schiebroek is necessary.

Working hours
The Belbus runs from Monday to Friday.
Volunteers work one or more half days per week, either in the morning from 8:30 am to 12:45 pm or in the afternoon from 12:45 pm to 4:45 pm to 5:00 pm.
