We have buses with and without a wheelchair lift. As a volunteer you work one or more half days per week. An ordinary driver's license for a PASSENGER CAR is sufficient!! Meeting center Prinsenhof collects canned vegetables and other non-perishable products for the food bank in Het Lage Land. Will you become a language volunteer at our language classes? At the beginning of this year we started with many new students who want to learn to speak and understand the language better so that they can manage independently. For these classes we are looking for: Language Volunteers In addition to the teacher, the students are supported by language volunteers. If you like language and enjoy working with people, this might be for you. You help others practice basic skills such as reading, speaking and writing. What will you do as a language volunteer: • You support the integration teacher during the group lessons; • You guide individual students or subgroups during the lesson according to the teacher's instructions; • You ensure that the teaching material is available in the classroom; • You consult and coordinate the progress of the class and individual students with the project leader, teacher and/or language coach What do you bring: • You have a firm footing and your communication is good and creative where necessary; • You have time and energy to help newcomers build a new life; • You have practical knowledge of Dutch society; • You have good social skills and interest in other cultures; • You are empathetic and can explain things in a simple way; • You are patient and available for at least half a day. Having lunch and walking with demented elderly people

For our Wednesday afternoon walking group, we are looking for a volunteer who has an affinity with the target group of elderly people with early dementia, non-congenital brain injury or forgetfulness. The walking group meets every Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm to have lunch together and then go for a walk of about an hour at a leisurely pace. The idea is that you come up with lunch together with a volunteer and do the shopping and then have lunch with the residents. Then you go for a nice walk and keep an eye on the group. Is everyone coming? Is everyone having a good time? In bad weather we stay inside and play a game or chat while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. Would you like to help with this?
