TOM training courses have started in Rotterdam (Home Carefree Mobile). TOM helps people over 65 improve their muscle strength and balance to reduce the risk of falls. In addition, the dietitian provides information about healthy eating during 6 lunches with the group. Tasks At all general meetings (information, starting and final meeting): • provide coffee and tea; • welcome the elderly; • catch up, make contact with the elderly. Lyme line: Advising and listening for Lyme

Monthly · 2 to 20 hours
Lymevereniging

The Lyme Association telephone line is a helpline for Lyme patients, their environment, care providers and people who have questions about Lyme disease and tick bites. Living with Lyme disease is complicated and always presents you with new challenges. Then it is nice to be able to ask your questions to an expert, or simply to tell your story to someone who understands what it is like to live with (someone with) Lyme disease. People who call the Lyme Association information line often have a specific question about Lyme disease or about the care of their loved one, but also to let off steam, express concerns or be able to talk freely.

 What you're going to do
As a volunteer, you provide advice by telephone about Lyme disease and tips on dealing with this disease. You also offer a listening ear to people with Lyme and their environment. You know a lot about Lyme disease and use the information on our website ([website hidden]) to give people advice and tools. Fluent command of the Dutch language is required. You work from home (this volunteer work can also be done from bed) and we will work with you to determine which times best suit your life.

With your efforts, you and the other volunteers can make an important contribution to supporting people with Lyme disease and their loved ones. "I am in contact with other people, I have very nice conversations, you sometimes really get to know people and the work is very diverse.” “You don't know how grateful people feel when they are heard and you listen to them. It is very rewarding work.” "I am retired and this way I am still somewhat involved in society and I think that is a nice idea" Are you interested in making a difference in this way? Please feel free to contact us for more information or an introductory meeting.
