The Leids Steunloket Migranten is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer, a doer who likes to perform simple tasks on our website every now and then, such as opening a new page, and who does such simple digital chores on our social media. About the Leiden Support Desk for Migrants: The Leids Steunloket Migranten is a social, multicultural and humanitarian organization that deals with questions in the field of immigration law, substantive legal position, practical, legal, humanitarian, social and medical support. The LSM focuses on all migrants: labor migrants, family migrants, students, refugees or asylum seekers. The LSM is a non-profit institution. The services are free. Job description: We are currently active on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and our website. As a volunteer website & social media, PR and communication employee, you work on setting up and maintaining messages on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and on the website. The website, social media, PR and communication employee is responsible for maintaining, improving and expanding our website and our messages on other media channels and for establishing contacts with charities, organizations and volunteers. You ensure that our organization, actions and projects are properly portrayed via social media. We are mainly looking for a volunteer who enjoys working for our target group and our organization. We expect: • You have an affinity with the very vulnerable target group of migrants and refugees. • You have reasonable experience and affinity with websites and social media channels. • You are able to build and maintain a relevant media network. • You manage the content of the website and know how to maintain it. • You are enthusiastic and have persuasive power. • You can speak and write Dutch and English well, and also possibly Arabic, Persian Turkish or French. • You know how to tell a story well.
