Do you enjoy cycling with someone and discovering beautiful places in the Bollenstreek together? We are looking for a volunteer who will cycle with one of our friendly participants on a tandem bike. Langeveldshof uses a beautiful adapted tandem bike for this, which has an electric auxiliary motor for support. As a cycling buddy at Langeveldshof, you will cycle with a participant in the area. This is something that the participant can no longer do independently due to his or her disability. So you provide a beautiful experience and really add something to the daily life of someone with a condition or disability. You will of course start with thorough instruction before you set off.

Maitha (10) would like to move on to group 8. Will you help her with Dutch? Thanks to the help of another homeschool buddy, Maitha's older brother and sister have already achieved good grades. Now Maitha could also use some extra support. She is looking for an online TOMaatje who wants to help her successfully complete her primary school. Do you want to help someone realize her potential? We are looking for a volunteer for Maitha who: - Wants to teach online once a week. - Has a good command of the Dutch language. - Is not afraid to cover the primary school curriculum, especially language and reading comprehension. In consultation, you will agree on a time during the week when you can provide online support. After that, it is about ensuring pleasant contact with each other and, above all, doing a lot of assignments together. How do we support you? From TOMaatjes you will receive guidance at the start, with tips for lesson content and access to the community with other TOMaatjes in it. Every 1-2 months there is an online intervision in which you can discuss how you can get more out of the tutoring. What do I need for this? - Be open to a different culture. - Before you can start, we will request a Certificate of Conduct for you free of charge. Once that has been received, you can start as soon as possible. - Want to help with everything that is covered at school. Being a homeschool buddy is a really rewarding task. It starts with tutoring, but many of our volunteers really build a bond with the family where they work. A TOBaatje who completed his trajectory says: "We both enjoyed having and being a Homeschooling Buddy. I personally really enjoyed it, because I didn't just help Adam, but the whole family. I came by every week. First we did a few lessons in reading comprehension. Then I played with Adam & his sisters. And if Adam's mother had questions about administrative matters, I helped with that too. What was also nice to notice is that Adam got higher grades at school. That made him happy and more motivated. Finally, we built up such a good bond that we still keep in touch, even outside of the tutoring." We hope to welcome you soon as a TOBaatje for Maitha or one of the many other children who could use some help.
