Will you be our new driver? As a driver on the Grocery PlusBus you drive the customers from their home address to varying destinations in Zundert and the surrounding area and then bring them home again. For example, you transport the customers for an afternoon of shopping, a visit to a museum or you take the customer to a bank or post office. You are not only a driver, guidance is also part of the function. For example, think of a trip to the supermarket where you also go into the store. As a driver you have contact with various people and a varied day. Drivers call that, together with the appreciation of the customers, the nicest aspects of the job. The bus can accommodate a maximum of 7 customers and a companion. The driver has a valid B driving license and extensive driving experience. You are resistant to stress, have good concentration and good health. You have a reasonable condition and are able to firmly anchor or secure wheelchairs and rollators in the bus. In addition, it is important that you are patient and social, both towards customers and in traffic. When: Tuesday from 08.30 to 17.00 or only part of the day is also allowed.

The project language buddies provides language support to people who have insufficient command of the Dutch language. This increases the independence and self-confidence of the participants, so that they find their way more easily in society. The activities of a volunteer language buddies are very diverse, such as: • increase vocabulary and improve speaking skills • practice conversations together, such as calling the dentist to make an appointment • improve reading skills • support with homework/exam if the participant takes a Dutch course • doing an activity together, such as shopping in a supermarket or going to the library As a language buddy you can make a difference in someone's life. With a few hours of volunteer work per week or per month (this is up to you) you give someone the opportunity to improve his or her Dutch language in practice. For a 78 year old lady, I am looking for a lady who would like to have something fun with Mrs. wants to do business. Mrs. her partner likes to go cycling on Thursday afternoons but is unable to do so at the moment due to... his wife. But due to circumstances, Mrs. can't stay home alone (no memory problems). The local Zonnebloem department Zundert is looking for new volunteers who want to work for people with a physical disability. Sunflower volunteers visit, go out together and organize holidays and activities for people who are alone more often than they would like due to a physical disability. For them, personal contact and going out are not always self-evident. As a Zonnebloem volunteer you do not leave these people behind. You create moments to look forward to and memories to cherish. Volunteering at De Zonnebloem is not only fun to do, it also gives a good feeling to be able to do something for someone else. With your time and effort you can really make a difference. As a new volunteer, you will, if possible, be linked to one or more participants. This way you can build a bond with these participants. Do you like being in the kitchen? And do you enjoy cooking for other people? YES? Then we at Living Room Wernhout are looking for you! You don't have to be a chef, you don't need any training, but the pleasure of cooking should come first! Our diners, on average a group of 12 people, eat a hot meal every Thursday afternoon (at noon). Are you willing to prepare fresh meals for our group on a Thursday morning/afternoon? Then you are the (hobby) chef we are looking for! Or would you rather cook with someone? No problem! This does not have to be every week, how often you want and can is all negotiable. We are very happy with once a month. We can use the beautiful kitchen of the Wierenbos, so there is plenty of space to cook delicious meals. Are you that (hobby) chef that we can use in Wernhout? We are looking for a volunteer for a 46-year-old client with a mild intellectual disability, who lives independently in an apartment in Zundert. A volunteer who is available on Wednesdays in even weeks to walk together, do crafts or have a drink on the terrace. The client is a quiet lady but can chat when she feels comfortable. The Old Printing Factory in Zundert is an Amarant residential facility with 24-hour supervision. De Oude Drukkerij offers support to mildly and moderately mentally challenged adults. A certain degree of independence and commitment is expected from clients. Clients live in their own apartment with their own facilities. What are you bringing? You are, preferably, a woman (age does not matter). You are available on Wednesdays in even weeks; the frequency is of course negotiable.

A foundation by and for parents of the allowance affair For years, parents have been wrongly accused by the Tax Authorities as fraudsters, with unprecedented emotional, relational and financial consequences. Unfortunately, there are tens of thousands of families who suffer from the consequences of the allowance affair and they are still waiting for recovery. As a volunteer of the (Equal) Worthy Recovery Foundation, you can provide direct support and make a difference for a family. Since October 2023, the (Equal) Worthy Recovery Foundation has been offering a people-oriented recovery approach developed by parents and independent (personal injury) experts. We work from our own direction, trust, neutrality and collectivity. Our goal is to resolve the allowance affair together more quickly and to offer parents the opportunity for emotional and financial recovery. To be able to do this for the many affected parents, we need you! Where you can make a difference for a parent by participating as a Listening Writer. This is what you do as a Listening Writer The recovery route focuses on the parent's own story, the Factual Account. In order to put this on paper, the parents (the Storytellers) are supported by a Listening Writer: a volunteer from society who listens without judgement and writes down the Parent's Factual Account. For the parent, the Factual Account consists of 3 parts: who were you before all the misery started, where are you now and where do you want to go? When the Factual Account is on paper, the parent can choose to have it calculated. In this way, as a volunteer, you make an important contribution to the parent's emotional and financial recovery. This is who you are as a Listening Writer Perhaps you have been following the news for years, the benefits affair affects you, you feel the urgency, and you want to do something concrete. By helping out, you are in fact saying to the people involved: I see and believe you. It is precisely this equality that motivates you to use your time and skills. As a person, you connect easily, equally and respectfully. You are open and curious about the person involved. You can listen deeply, unbiased and without (pre)judgments. You dare to ask questions and know how to create a safe environment. In addition, you are a fellow resident of the Netherlands. We advise you to register from the age of 21, because impactful events are discussed during the conversation. Some life experience is required to deal with this well.
