Drivers Neighborhood Transport Midden-Drenthe

Would you like to make a difference for someone else and do you enjoy driving? We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible drivers for our passenger vans, which are also suitable for wheelchair transport. Stichting Buurttransport Midden-Drenthe brings the less mobile residents of Midden-Drenthe door to door during working days upon request. Our customers are diverse, but most need some attention or assistance getting in and out. In principle, the drivers drive either in the Smilde region, or in the Beilen region, or in the Westerbork region. Always within a radius of a maximum of 25 kilometers around that central location. Some flexibility in deployment is desirable, in case one region is busier than the other. The drivers, in consultation with our coordinator, drive at a frequency that they prefer. Every day? Weekly? Once in two weeks? Everything is negotiable. We require drivers who are available during the day and have a driving license B. We also ask for a recent Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and our drivers are medically examined every two years. We offer a pleasant informal working atmosphere, training in operating the bus (and wheelchair lift), the necessary insurance, travel expenses if necessary, and above all enormous satisfaction after a day of driving for the less mobile! Interested? Please feel free to contact our driver coordinator Bertie.

COSA: reintegration of sex offenders

COSA: reintegration of sex offenders

Weekly · 1 to 4 hours
Reclassering Nederland

Do you like a challenge and enjoy working with other volunteers? Then let yourself be taken into the world of COSA! WHAT IS COSA? COSA's goal is: no new victims (of sexual violence). This approach is offered by the Netherlands Probation Service to sex offenders who do not want to commit new crimes. This is often difficult for them because they are often excluded by society. Loneliness and social isolation are common among sex offenders and this actually increases the chance of new risks. COSA wants to prevent or break this social isolation. If you can separate the person and the criminal behavior, you can do something about it. COSA supports someone in reintegrating into society and it can be both fun and serious. Together with fellow volunteers and a number of professionals, we follow the reintegration process, encourage good choices and intervene (professionals) early where necessary. The volunteers and the sex offender (called a core member) form the inner circle. The professionals involved (including Probation Supervisor, practitioner, counselor and community police officer) form the outer circle. VOLUNTEERS: As a volunteer you do not need to have a specific background. After registration, we always start with an introductory meeting without obligation. Before you can be deployed, you take part in a mandatory two-day training. This training takes you into the world of moral issues and into working as a volunteer at COSA. You do not learn any skills, but discover whether the work suits you by providing information and practicing with situations you may encounter. After the training, we decide together whether we want and can work together. We do need a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). WHAT ARE YOU DOING? As a volunteer you do not have to conduct assistance conversations. You take yourself with you and come into contact with the sex offender from person to person. You provide support with difficulties that someone encounters, often these are on a social level. You engage in conversations, undertake social activities and have fun together, but you also have an eye for risks and hold people accountable. You always work together with a few other volunteers. All this under the good supervision of a professional circle coordinator from the Dutch Probation Service who is responsible for the circle process. WHAT DO YOU GET? We take good care of our volunteers. In addition to reimbursement for kilometers traveled and/or minor expenses for, for example, a cup of coffee or a drink during social activities, we also offer the following: - individual coaching for volunteers (mandatory) - intervision (we expect you to be open to this) - theme evenings or lunches on work-related topics - a nice New Year's drink - reimbursement of other activities in consultation with the circle coordinator We care about our volunteers, also in addition to the work they do for us. We are also available for volunteers in the evenings and on weekends. You are cordially invited to register. We work throughout the Northern Netherlands, but you decide in which area and on which days/parts of the day/times you want to be deployed. If you have any questions regarding this vacancy, you can always contact us.
