Would you like to become a volunteer at the victim support organization in the Netherlands? We really need your help! As a volunteer at Victim Support Netherlands, you are there for victims who want to move on today. These could be people who have experienced a crime, traffic accident, disaster or other traumatic event. You give them the help they need to move forward again. Victim Support Netherlands helps after crimes, traffic accidents, disasters and calamities. You can contact us for emotional support, we provide support in the criminal proceedings and in recovering damages. With more than 1,000 volunteers, 100 interns and 500 paid employees, we help 200,000 people every year. At Victim Support Netherlands, all employees jointly represent the interests of victims. Together we help victims today. How do you help our clients? After a crime, traffic accident, calamity or disaster, all kinds of emotions arise and victims and surviving relatives have to deal with various authorities. The General Services team helps victims to get their lives back on track. What are you going to do? You have contact with victims at one of our locations or visit them at home. You listen and give advice on how victims can deal with the consequences of what happened to them. You provide emotional support or show someone the way in a practical sense. You sometimes provide help in the event of an emergency or disaster. What are you bringing? A communicative, socially sensitive and pragmatic attitude; A stress-resistant character; Being able to offer a listening ear; Good analytical skills: Experience in working with various computer programs.
