Conductor/piano accompanist for a choir

At Buurthuis de Paraplu we have a choir on Tuesday mornings between 10:00 and 12:00 and we are looking for someone who wants to guide it. Piano accompaniment is an advantage. The participants enjoy singing mostly Dutch songs together. This is a recurring weekly activity. The majority of participants have non-congenital brain damage, which sometimes makes speaking difficult. But on the other hand, singing goes well. This ensures that there is a lot of positivity and fun. However, they can use a pianist to accompany them for the tempo, beat and pitch. Are you the (experienced) conductor/pianist who wants to take on this job? You can come and watch on Tuesday morning without obligation, to get an impression of the choir, the atmosphere and the space.

Walking around in Overvecht Noord

Interakt Contour

Mr. (84) likes it if you want to go for a walk with him. For a gentleman with early dementia, I am looking for a buddy (f) who would like to keep him company for an hour. You agree together how often you will come by. It really doesn't have to be every week. Due to his brain injury, his world has become very small and he no longer goes outside. He lacks the initiative to go outside himself. He walks behind his walker and likes it when someone walks with him. Do you live in Overvecht and have an hour to spare a week? I would be happy to tell you more about the match during an introductory meeting. Send me a message and we will make an appointment. Greetings Karin

Join us during the Night of the Refugee

NLvoorelkaar

Can you imagine it? That you have to leave everything behind from one day to the next? And flee headlong with your family, your neighbors or sometimes all alone to a destination that is still unknown? 💔 Never before have so many people fled war, conflict and oppression. By participating in the Night of the Refugee, you commit yourself to them: you draw attention to their stories in a positive way and have your kilometers sponsored. The more money you raise, the more emergency aid we can provide together!! 💪🏼 During the 2023 edition with no fewer than 5,500 participants, more than 1.3 million euros was raised! A fantastic amount! This allowed the Refugee Foundation to give Sudanese refugees, among others, access to clean (drinking) water and sanitary facilities. They also provided emergency aid packages for people who had to flee the earthquake in Turkey and Syria and supported them with, among other things, nutrition in Ethiopia and Burkina Faso. Are you also participating this year? Register individually, with your family, friends, sports club, company or school. Click on 'I'm participating' so that we can explain to you how you can participate!

Come check toys or make videos

Speelotheek Hoograven

The Toy Library Hoograven (a library full of toys) is looking for backup! Here everyone has access to cool and age-appropriate toys. Fun, social and sustainable. By sharing things, they are reused, we throw away less and we make more conscious choices when purchasing our own toys and games. Cool! Help out as a toy inspector. Every Wednesday evening from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM we check the toys that are returned. That's a lot of work, but it's always fun with good coffee, tea, lemonade and treats. Do you like planning/organizing? Great, we participate in NL Doet, Neighborhood Day and neighborhood markets. The play library also wants to organize activities such as a board game evening. You can participate in the events/activities team at times that suit you, in consultation with the others. Our toy team manages the toy collection. They buy new toys and make incomplete toys complete again. Preparing new toys for lending is a lot of work. Entering data into the computer, providing everything with codes, taking photos for the catalogue. We often do this together during coding mornings or evenings. We are also looking for people who want to make cool videos about the Toy Library. About toys, about lending and about our fun work. We are looking for people for the Monday afternoon service from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Help is needed on Saturday mornings from 9:15 AM - 11:30 AM. So we check toys every Wednesday evening from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM. You can organize and carry out other tasks & matters (activity team, toy team) according to your own agenda. We always work as a team, with many great colleagues. There is also a fun staff party every year and you can borrow from the Toy Library for free. Check the site www.speelotheekhoograven.nl for more information. You are very welcome, we would love to get to know you. Hopefully see you soon & cheerful greetings Judith Coordinator Hoograven Play Library

Coordinator VoorleesExpress wanted

Taal Doet Meer

Coordinator VoorleesExpress Utrecht from January 2022 At the VoorleesExpress, a voluntary reader comes to a family's home every week to read to the children (aged 2 to 8). We thus stimulate the language development of the children and, together with the parents, enrich the language environment at home. The parents are given tools to take over the reading themselves and to give books a permanent place in daily life. As a coordinator you guide a group of families and readers. That way you can ensure that even more families are read to! As a coordinator, you guide a group of families and readers for six months. You form the pivot between the families, readers and the project management and monitor the progress of the project. You are well aware of what is happening in the families and record the progress. You go to the family three times with each reader. To be able to fulfill these tasks as well as possible, you follow three training courses, given by the project management of VoorleesExpress Utrecht. You yourself pass on those training sessions to your reading team. Coordinating one season takes about 60 to 80 hours. What do you have? - You have affinity with children, language and cultures - You are open to new encounters - You enjoy organizing and coaching - You are studious, independent and reliable - You are flexibly available weekly from January 2022 - You are willing to commit for a period of at least six months - You are willing to develop yourself and participate in an in-depth workshop or training. What do you get in return? As a coordinator you can gain experience with a large and diverse group of volunteers and participants from all kinds of cultures. You can expect guidance from the organization, you follow a start training and you can participate in professional development and various other activities. Finally, we also offer a volunteer contract and third-party insurance. With your commitment you ensure that weekly meetings take place between Utrechters with diverse backgrounds, where language is the common thread. Utrecht residents feel more connected to their city and you contribute to that! Are you interested in the position of coordinator? Click here and fill in the registration form. If you have any questions, please contact Mirjam van Dijk, project leader at Taal Doet Meer. You can do this via [email protected] or 06-182 104 33.
