One of the Red Cross activities in the Brabant-Noord district is the Contact Circle. A Contact Circle consists of a group of participants who call around every morning to ask if everything is okay. During emergency situations, people initially have to rely on themselves and others in the immediate vicinity before professional help arrives. In every neighbourhood there is someone who has little contact with the environment. Someone who does not often talk to the neighbours and does not like to rely on others. These are people who can be vulnerable when something is wrong. In an emergency, the person may need help, but there is no one he/she/they can fall back on. With the Red Cross Contact Circle, these people do not go unnoticed. In order to realise this, we are looking for an enthusiastic Contact Circle Coordinator in Limburg. The Contact Circle is a group of people who form a circle together by having contact with each other every day to ask if everything is going well. The aim of the circle is that a participant never goes unnoticed for longer than one day. In addition, the circle also functions as an information channel in times of emergency. In addition, we actively encourage them to build a network. This way, people feel safe and know who they can call on when necessary. The Heldin project focuses on vulnerable women in West Brabant. During the training, a lot of practice is done with all kinds of skills that you need to be able to provide help. The participants learn to deal with barriers that you may encounter, such as aggression or resistance. What are you going to do? Contact relevant organizations for cooperation. You provide information about the course to the participants. You help with the organization of the course (from planning the course series to administering the evaluations). You maintain contact with the trainers and collaboration partners. You contribute to the evaluation and further development of the training courses. Who are you? Making children aware of global citizenship and together raising €10,000 for families in Lungalunga, Kenya - an amount that Wilde Ganzen will double. The campaign is concrete and tangible: students save for chickens and cows, with which the most vulnerable families in LungaLunga can build a sustainable income. The campaign will take place in the first half of 2025, with Wilde Ganzen organizing a national campaign week at the end of April. As a coordinator, you will play a crucial role in this. What will you do? As coordinator, you are the driving force behind this campaign. You motivate schools to participate in a way that suits them, help them think about the content of their campaign and support the implementation. In addition, you can use our specially developed educational lesson package, with which students not only learn about Kenya but are also inspired to take action themselves.
