Communication went well, clearly stated what the work entails, polite. I indicated that I could call me and that was done, but I was working elsewhere as a volunteer at the time. I had missed the first call, the second was possible I don't answer. Also sent a message about this saying I couldn't answer the call. Didn't hear anything after my message.

Raising children is quite a job. Sometimes as a parent you can use some help with this. Do you have time and space to support a family? Then register as a volunteer support parent. Whether you are available for 3 hours or 24 hours, all help is welcome! Short explanation Support parents are adult volunteers (with or without children, young or old, single or together) who provide a hospitable home to a child one or two half-days a week. In this way they provide families with support. Your help as a support parent helps prevent problems in families from arising or worsening. We ask • Age of at least 21 years (preferably with some life experience); • Wanting and being able to offer a child a hospitable home in accordance with agreements made; • Being able to offer a child peace and regularity and focusing on stimulating the child's development; • Being able to reflect on one's own behavior; • Have a Certificate of Good Conduct (no costs involved) We offer • Introductory meeting (drafting a profile); • Training to gain tips and experiences; • Support and guidance from the support parent coordinator; • A volunteer agreement; • Third party liability and accident insurance during the work; Location: • Submunicipality of Feijenoord When • Days and times in consultation Knowing more? This is very important for their school career. You can also support the parents and familiarize them with the Dutch school system. Working as TOMaatje is therefore meaningful work with a major social impact. At the same time, you get to know a newcomer family better and become part of a community of about 300 other enthusiastic TOMaatjes. Join! Are you willing and available to guide a child? Stichting Geluk - Gelukswandelingen

A Happiness Walk especially for schools, companies and other groups. Make your (work) outing a happy experience and go on a happiness walk together with residents of a nursing home. Happiness walks are tailor-made especially for you and guided by artist Misja Immink. Misja from Gelukswandelingen: “We view the environment through Gelukswandelers glasses. We joyfully share our discoveries and, while talking and wondering, we find happiness and each other. Outside. On the street. Connection through wonder.” Happiness walks have been specially created for residents of nursing homes, often vulnerable elderly people who do not often go outside, and happiness activists (volunteers). Under the guidance of artist Misja Immink, a cheerful wheelchair brigade explores the neighborhood for new types of happiness. In short, during a Happiness Walk you do something good for someone else and something beautiful together as a group. The impact is great; the elderly really enjoy the wonder and being outside together. Moreover, you will get to know Rotterdam very differently, partly thanks to the surprising assignments. During the activity there is plenty of room for a short introduction and explanation. A contribution is requested for a group happiness expedition. For more information you can send us a message.
