Do you have green fingers!?

RIBW AVV

(volunteer, 4 hours per month, Animals) Working together with an elderly lady in her garden! With whom? The lady is 72 years old, has a green thumb herself and still likes to maintain her garden! She is more of a doer and doesn't mind if there is a silence now and then. When her garden is more in order again, this will give her satisfaction. What are you going to do? Unfortunately, this lady is no longer able to do it herself and that is why she could use your help! We are looking for someone who enjoys working in the garden with her. However, the lady will have to take a rest now and then. The front and back garden are of normal size, so a part of a day a month should be enough to maintain it nicely! What's in it for you? Because of you, our clients make more contact with the outside world! For you it means a nice contact in your own neighbourhood, a big smile, a nice cup of tea, some exercise or a new hobby... Volunteering can also be a pleasant way to build up a bit more rhythm yourself or to get acquainted with care and a specific target group. At RIBW AVV we ensure that you are well supervised, that you can follow the basic training 'Recovery-supportive work' and that you can, for example, use the online learning environment GoodHabitz with training for both your professional and personal development. And attentions such as a Christmas package will of course also come your way! We ask: Your enthusiasm and only a little bit of your time! No specific training is required. It is good to know that we request a VOG (certificate of conduct) for every volunteer (free of charge). Enthusiastic or questions? Send a message and we'll see if we can make a match together!

Special stories; do you speak Vietnamese?

RIBW AVV

(volunteer, 1 hour a week, Wolfheze) Looking for a buddy to chat, walk and drink a cup of coffee! With whom? Calm and friendly is he, our middle-aged client. He is from Vietnam, speaks Vietnamese and a little Dutch. His daughter, born in the Netherlands, speaks Dutch and some Vietnamese. He would love it if he could tell his stories from the past! What are you going to do? Because it can be difficult to tell colorful stories in a foreign language, Mr. would love to tell someone who speaks his native language his stories from the past so that they can be written down for his daughter. It is therefore important that you speak both Vietnamese and Dutch (or English). In addition, sir would like to go outside a bit more to take a walk or have a drink together! What's in it for you? Because of you, our clients make more contact with the outside world again. At RIBW AVV we also ensure that you are well supervised and that you can, for example, use the online learning environment GoodHabitz with training courses for both your professional and personal development. Offered: neighbors. Wanted: socializer

RIBW AVV

(volunteer, Arnhem/Renkum, 2 hours per week) Volunteer for the Neighborhood Circle What is a Neighborhood Circle? A Neighborhood Circle is a group of people who live in the neighborhood and meet regularly. For example, they eat together, undertake social activities and support each other by doing everyday chores together or going to a formal institution. This seems obvious, but it is often not for the participants of Buurtkring. Due to psychological vulnerability, participants often have a small network, have difficulty finding their way in the neighborhood or experience barriers to participating in neighborhood activities. To break this, they take the step to participate in a Neighborhood Circle. The function: Together with the Neighborhood Circle Coach, you ensure that people feel connected to the neighborhood. You help participants (re)discover their own qualities and know how to use them for others, giving them more meaning and improving their quality of life. You participate in activities, create a fun atmosphere and encourage participants to visit each other, ask each other questions and undertake activities. The basic principle is that the Neighborhood Circle belongs to the participants themselves, the Neighborhood Circle coach/volunteer stimulates and excites, sets a good example if necessary, but does not take over. What does it get you? You make the participants' day a lot more beautiful! Through you, our clients make more contact with the outside world. At RIBW AVV we also ensure that you are properly guided and, for example, can use the GoodHabitz online learning environment with training for both your professional and personal development. And gifts such as a Christmas gift will of course also come your way! What do we ask of you? No specific training is necessary. It is important that you see the talents and qualities of others, enjoy sociability, are decisive, have peace of mind and are a good listener and are prepared to be a point of contact for others. It is also good to know that we request (free of charge) a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) for every volunteer. Excited or have questions? We are looking for volunteers for several neighborhoods, so if you are interested and/or have questions, please feel free to contact us and we will see if a match can be made. Also take a look at the Buurtkring website!

Real contact… and just a nice chat!

RIBW AVV

For whom? Weike is a 63-year-old woman who lives on her own in Ede. She thinks it would be nice to have more social contact. It will probably take some time at first, but once you click, you will really get to know Weike. For example, she likes to paint (although it has been a while since she picked up a brush), she likes to watch a good action movie and she can also be persuaded to go for a walk. But everything in due time. First, sit down quietly for a nice chat and have real contact. What are you going to do? Once a week you visit Weike at her home. You chat for a while and slowly but surely you get to know each other better. There will automatically be a moment to do something, who knows, maybe in time you will pick up the brush together again! What does it get you? Thanks to you, our clients make more contact with the outside world! With whom? On the third floor of the Nudehof residential care complex in Wageningen, 8 residents gather in the living room for food, a good conversation or a game of checkers or rummikub. Most residents spend a large part of their time in the residential group, some go to day care. Of course they speak to fellow residents and employees, but how wonderful would it be if someone from “outside” shows interest, has time and attention? Just for fun! Lia enjoys strolling through Wageningen together, browsing at Action, visiting Ikea or stopping by the Intratuin. Could you push her wheelchair? Bep likes a cup of coffee at De Kater in the city center and Kees enjoys walking along the dike. Are you going out with them? At the same time, they also like it when you come in and check on them. Klaas can talk endlessly about what he collects in his house and Anna is always up for a game of checkers. What are you going to do? Once a week you visit our residents, you are a real family friend: everyone knows you are there! The best thing is to agree on a fixed time during the week (a morning or an evening), during which you decide together with the residents and supervisors what you want to do. It doesn't have to be a strict program at all, just whatever you feel like doing at that moment. There are plenty of ideas! Please note that some residents are in wheelchairs. If you want to go out with one of them, it is useful to be able to push a wheelchair. What does it get you? Thanks to you, our clients make more contact with the outside world! There is room for 12 permanent, adult residents and there are also a small number of crisis beds available. Would you like to come to my house for a cup of coffee?

RIBW AVV

Looking for a buddy for 1 hour per weekend in Zevenaar “How annoying, again! What a situation! Wines!” No, of course José doesn't say that himself. She is just a big fan of the Meilandjes. So don't be surprised if this blares through her living room. José is a creative 70-year-old woman who loves to chat and joke. She can continue watching all the Meiland videos on YouTube, but she also likes to watch series from the past, such as 'Say A'. She lives in a sheltered residential group and has her own apartment there. In addition to daily contact with supervisors and fellow residents (and of course the Meilandjes), José is looking for a buddy. What are you going to do? José likes to have something fun to get up for. This can be difficult, especially during the weekend. She is looking for someone for accessible contact, preferably someone from Zevenaar to chat and have a cup of coffee at her home. That prospect helps her start her day. José is up for some fun, but also needs her rest. A buddy, someone who can tune in to what is pleasant at that moment, would do José a great favor. What does it get you? I'm cheerful enough to work in the garden, but sometimes the motivation has to come from my toes! I'm not really into talking, but I'm into doing it. An appointment with you is therefore a good support for me to start working together. The result is a beautiful garden. And even though I'm not a huge chatterbox, when we're having a good time, I can throw in a joke every now and then!” What are you going to do? Preferably, you meet once every 3 weeks on a Tuesday afternoon or a Thursday afternoon to work together in the garden. Jan lives independently and you meet at his home. Together you think about what you are going to do, what you need for it and you take action. You help Jan with the garden maintenance, but also with social contact. What does it get you? Shall we share some kilometers on the bike?

RIBW AVV

Cycle with me on your way to a cup of coffee! With whom? Going outside and exercising or listening to music is good for many people, right? In any case, Silvester does! He lives in Westervoort and is 54 years old. He likes to go out on his electric bike, for example to the Hoge Veluwe or to Zevenaar. He can easily complete 30 kilometers! He also enjoys listening to music and singer-songwriters are his favorite. For example, Eefje de Visser, Meis, LUWTEN and MY BABY regularly come from the speakers. He still has many LPs at home and listens to them regularly. Silvester also loves cars and used to work at a go-kart track where he repaired karts. A topic that is welcome to be discussed! He is also technically skilled and has worked with video LED technology at festivals and concerts. He also watches the news every day and finds it interesting to talk about it. So at home in many markets! What are you going to do? Do something together! Sitting indoors alone doesn't do Silvester any good, so it would be nice if he could go out with someone. For example, go cycling and have a cup of coffee. Or go for a walk! He has an e-bike, but it's no problem if you have a regular bike, he just holds back a bit. Preferably you are 40+ and you do not smoke. The gentleman currently goes to day care on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but if you are able to attend then, this can possibly be rescheduled! What does it get you? Thanks to you, our clients make more contact with the outside world! Home-Start: support for a family

Yunio jeugdgezondheidszorg

Do you like to 'help' a family? Then Home Start Achterhoek would like to meet you! Who are we Every family faces challenges.
