Volunteer Basic Dutch
With the help of volunteers, the COA can expand the range of activities for asylum seekers. As a volunteer, you will receive guidance and support from the employees on location. You will get to know different cultures and work with students with different educational backgrounds. No day is the same and that makes working at an AZC versatile and challenging. Do you want to share your knowledge and experience and contribute to the reception of asylum seekers? Then volunteering at the COA is really something for you! Want to become a volunteer in Basic Dutch? This is possible if you: • are 18 years or older • can work together • have an affinity with asylum seekers and can also keep your distance from the asylum seeker • can provide a 'Certificate of Conduct' (VOG) • have an affinity with the Dutch language The COA is looking for a: Basic Dutch teacher Basic Dutch focuses on minimum language proficiency with which asylum seekers can get by in daily life in the neighbourhood, such as when doing the shopping.
