About Chris

Active man who is retired and can't sit still After years of working in healthcare, I came into contact with the Buurthuis de Nieuwe Meidoorn in the Tuinzigt district in Breda. Where I live opposite, I thought it would be nice to create the living room of the district there. Now, 5 years later, it is developing a bit with a number of nice volunteers.

Are you also someone who enjoys long walks in the fresh air, but would you rather not do it alone? I am looking for a fun walking buddy who wants to explore nature with me, walk the kilometers away while talking, and with whom I can regularly discover nice walking routes. Whether we want to relax in Zevenbergen, get some fresh air outside, or just go for a walk in the park - with a walking buddy it is all a little more fun. We determine the pace and distance together; for me it is mainly about the fun and being outside together. Are you that woman (preference) who also likes to go out and is looking forward to a new walking adventure? Then send me a message, and who knows, we may soon make our first kilometers together! Greetings Mrs. A.

Coordinator (chairman) of our management team

Coordinator (chairman) of our management team

Project · 5 to 8 hours in total
West Brabantse Vogelwerkgroep
Would you like to coordinate our team with five independent colleagues, each with their own responsibility? We meet as a board approximately 10 times a year to discuss the activities of our 12 working groups and offer them support if they request it or if we deem it necessary. There are 2 membership meetings per year. On that evening you have overall control, you start with the introduction, let your colleagues have their say and ensure the conclusion. Your team includes active colleagues: secretary, treasurer, PR coordinator and Bio coordinator. It gives you a lot of energy to dedicate yourself to nature and birds in particular in this way. You will experience many enthusiastic and sometimes difficult questions or (precarious) situations and hopefully resolve them to your satisfaction. In this role you have contacts by email/telephone with nature and government organizations, private individuals and of course our members. You can communicate with many at the desired level. Our colleague chairman would like to introduce you to his activities, watch with you and then transfer his tasks to you. About 360 members are members of our association. Many are quite active and fanatic in various bird activities. We all regularly have our binoculars in our hands. It concerns us when the birds are at a disadvantage… then we speak on their behalf. You are very welcome within our team and the association!

Cyber ambassadors wanted!

Cyber ambassadors wanted!

Gemeente Breda
Become a cyber ambassador of the municipality of Breda and help others stay safe in the digital world. More and more people are becoming victims of cybercrime and digitalized crime. Consider, for example, phishing, malware, friend-in-need fraud via WhatsApp or email and bank helpdesk fraud. Do you want to help your neighborhood and city to defend against this? Then register as a cyber ambassador and help keep cybercrime and digitized crime out of your neighborhood and city. What is a cyber ambassador? As a cyber ambassador you are an enthusiastic volunteer who helps to increase digital security in our municipality. You do this by making residents more resilient with the aim of fewer victims of cybercrime and digitalized crime. What exactly are you going to do? Together with the other new cyber ambassadors, you will first follow a short training in digital resilience. This means you know all forms of cybercrime and digitalized crime and you know what to look out for to protect yourself and your neighbors and fellow citizens against cybercriminals. It is and remains volunteer work, so you decide what your time investment is. Depending on your capabilities, you can perform the following activities:  You organize and provide information sessions about digital security to Breda residents (possibly with other cyber ambassadors and guidance from the municipality of Breda).  For example, you promote information about digital security by means of flyers, posting on social media, writing messages in the (digital) local newspaper to raise awareness.  You work together with other cyber ambassadors, municipal authorities, education, police and local (social) organizations.  You think behind the scenes about how we can best shape and content information sessions.  You occasionally attend an information market to inform residents about digital security. We are looking for you! Anyone can register, even if you have no experience with digital security. Your knowledge in the field of digital security will grow through the training offered by the Cyber Ambassadors Breda project and the free workshops from MOOIWERK. Register via the registration form, which can be found at [website hidden]. Would you rather know more about this volunteer work first? Send an email to [email address hidden] Hopefully see you soon!

MOOIWERK
Did you know that MOOIWERK offers approximately 100 workshops and meetings per year? We do this for Breda volunteers – they can participate free of charge. We work from the idea: for volunteers, by volunteers. Nice is not it? Do you (like us) think it is important that volunteers are warmly welcomed? And would you like to help us share the MOOIWERK workshops? Then we are looking for you! What are you going to do? You will help prepare/set up the meeting on the day itself. You do this together with the teacher who provides the training. Then it's time to welcome volunteers! You will receive all participants with enthusiasm. During the training you take photos and videos. This way you help to visualize our workshops & meetings! Examples of work: -You help prepare the room/space for the start of a training. -Welcoming volunteers during courses, training and workshops. You are our hostess or host! -Handing out coffee and tea to the participants and teacher. -Process registrations and cancellations during the meeting. -Making contact by telephone with the people we miss during a meeting. -Personal contact with volunteers who may have questions. -Take photos and short videos that we can use for MOOIWERK's communications. -You are partly responsible for the smooth running of the facility training. The work is versatile and there is a lot of room for personal initiative. Together with Ron, Lianne, Alicia and Jamy, you help ensure that everything runs smoothly. How many hours? It would be nice if you were available for about 2 to 4 hours every week. This can be on one day, but you can also divide it over two different meetings. The training sessions are generally in the evening. You can schedule yourself and indicate which day(s) you are available. You are active in rooms at various locations where we provide training, such as in community centers or at schools. Would you like to indicate when you are available per month? No problem! We are flexible and hope that you will support us one to four times a month. Who are you? You are someone who is enthusiastic, enjoys meeting and supporting other people, and capturing beautiful images. Of course you will be trained and guided by us. You are spontaneous, friendly, like variety and contact with people. Experience is nice, but not required. If you want to learn! Why MOOIWERK? -You will end up in a team with enthusiastic, passionate and collegial people. -You gain valuable work experience and you get the opportunity to develop yourself. -You have regular contact with other volunteers and contribute to their development. -You just become very happy when you speak to a volunteer who is enthusiastic about a workshop! -Of course you can also participate in all our workshops & meetings. -You become a member of our staff association for free and can join our staff outings! Interested or want to know more? Contact us for a no-obligation introduction to Jamy.
