Every year, thousands of people visit the hospital for an outpatient visit or for admission. These admissions also include patients who are confused or who end up in a delirium. In order to continue to meet the needs of these patients, the volunteer gives these patients the extra attention they need during the night during their hospital stay. SeniorWeb Veldhoven is a foundation with the objective of promoting digital skills of people aged 50 and over by people aged 50 and over, volunteers, with a view to increasing their independence and participation opportunities in the modern "digital" society. Mandy is a 36 year old woman with a severe intellectual disability. Mandy loves fun, parties, music and watching TV. Mandy has a stimulus processing disorder, which means that all stimuli come to her at the same time. Mandy can therefore become overstimulated and exhibit busy behavior. Mandy really enjoys 1 on 1 guidance. She is a very sweet girl and also loves to cuddle, but sometimes does not know her own strength. We are looking for a calm volunteer who can judge when Mandy becomes overstimulated. The volunteer should then be able to return Mandy to a calmer situation. You take in returned toys and check them or you sit at the cash register and register the toys that are taken and pay for them. You advise customers about toys. Together with the team, she ensures that the reception runs smoothly and pleasantly. This shelter is based on volunteers in close collaboration with the teachers.
