Volunteering at the Zorgboog
De Zorgboog is an organization of all generations for all generations. Every day, more than 2400 employees and 1200 volunteers are committed to the common goal of being able to provide the right care to our clients and residents.
Our volunteers are very important for the well-being of the residents, who often live in sheltered areas.
The personal attention, the making of a chat, the smile you get when you are there, as a volunteer you make the difference!
De Zorgboog offers a pleasant, pleasant and cordial working atmosphere in which you have many contacts with clients. You will receive appreciation from both our clients and our employees in various ways. Travel expenses are of course reimbursed and there is third-party and accident insurance.
De Zorgboog offers all volunteers the opportunity to attend meetings where necessary, so that knowledge about our target group can be increased. Consider, for example, dealing with dementia.
After all, we are responsible for the well-being of our residents. We can't live without each other!
A volunteer does not need diplomas, but they do need the right attitude and intentions, the necessary enthusiasm, respect and affinity with and for our target group. In addition, we find involvement and empathy in our target group very important.
Everything is possible within the locations and homes. The possibilities are always in addition to and support in the daily care and well-being.
This may include:
• support with activities
• be a buddy
• create a homely atmosphere and help with meals
• cooking or baking on the houses
• supporting activities such as collecting/bringing clients to the hairdresser or gym
• giving company, drinking coffee, playing games, reading the newspaper, walking buddy
• receive visitors and offer emotional support
But also organizing beauty moments such as hand massages and/or painting nails or organizing flower arranging afternoons, baking apple pies.
If you have good ideas of your own, these are certainly negotiable and welcome!
Do you have the feeling that you want and can mean something to others, that you want to be the one who comes to give our residents a moment of happiness at that moment? Since a sincere appreciation, gratitude or, for example, a smile from our residents can expect in return? Are you able to give our residents a nice day and have a good feeling and the necessary energy? Then volunteering is really something for you. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!

Before starting as a volunteer at the Zorgboog, we ask you to hand over a VOG (certificate of conduct). The application is submitted digitally by us and is completely free.
