Every year we need a number of officials to record the times during a swimming competition. Without these officials, the matches cannot take place. You will be trained for this by means of a course that includes 4 theory evenings and a practical evening. The costs and travel expenses for this course will be reimbursed. You must provide your own white pants. After this course you are obliged to act as an official 3 matches per year. With your efforts you ensure that our youth and young people can continue to swim these competitions.

Scouting Eersel

Scouting Eersel is a youth association with about 100 members and is aimed at children to relax for a few hours a week. Being outdoors and working together is central to this. Our association has 6 youth groups: Beavers > run every Saturday between 9.30am and 11.30am Gnomes > run every Saturday between 9.30am and 11.30am Cubs > play every Friday between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm Guides > run every Tuesday between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm Explorers > run every Friday between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm Rowans > run every Wednesday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm Each group has its own leadership staff consisting of volunteers who enjoy working with children and are committed to ensuring that Scouting Eersel is and remains a fun association. We are still looking for volunteer staff members for almost all the different groups. Together with your fellow staff members, you are responsible for the group you lead. Together you arrange everything that comes with it. Think of: • Making and organizing programs during the group evening • Organize weekends • Organize summer camp • Finance • Member administration • Contact with parents In addition, you have a number of tasks Scoutingwide. For example, there are several committees within Scouting Eersel that each take on the organization of a Scouting-wide activity. Think of the organization of the Christmas celebration, carnival activity, flea market, etc. As a staff member you are part of at least one committee. You are also expected to help during all activities that are organized Scoutingwide. What do you have to do to become a staff member? In principle, you can immediately become a staff member and you do not have to do anything in advance. During the first few weeks you will accompany the rest of the leadership and they will guide you. When you understand how it works, you will get more and more tasks / responsibilities and you will be assigned to a committee. When you are a staff member, you are expected to follow various training courses. For example, you may have to take a camp course and/or first aid course. How much time does it take to be a staff member? The time you have lost is difficult to indicate exactly. Below is an estimate: • Group evenings/mornings: 2 hours per week (excluding preparations) • Weekends: ± 2 to 3 weekends per year (excluding preparations) • Summer camp: 1 week per year (excl. preparations) • Committee: ± 3 meetings per year In addition, you should take into account that you will also lose time at home to prepare programs, develop games, etc. It is also possible that you will be given a specific task within your group (e.g. finances, mail or membership administration), for which you also have to do things at home. Stichting Beheer Meeting Centers for Seniors (BOS) in Eersel manages 2 meeting centers where many activities take place for and by the elderly: the Eikenburg and 't Stokske. As a hostess/host you and another volunteer are the point of contact for the visitors. You have a chat, serve coffee/tea or other drinks and create a cozy atmosphere. We are looking for someone for 1 or 2 days. Are you looking for a fun volunteer position? Are you sociable, patient, collegial, neat? Do you like working with people?
