Do you want to organize activities for seniors who struggle with loneliness and children in vulnerable positions? At our foundation you give youth volunteers the opportunity to put their senior or child in the spotlight! Below all information about this function Activities volunteer Volunteer position for everyone from 18 to 27 years old. Location: Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht or Amsterdam Start date: September 2, 2023 Number of hours per week: 8-10 hours (200 hours in total) (can be scheduled flexibly) End date: March 1, 2023 Number of places: 17 Volunteers per region: 6 in the Amsterdam region 6 in the South Holland region 5 in the Utrecht region *Mandatory to be present at the introduction day on September 14 Do you want to develop your skills in event organization and recruitment? And do you want to contribute to a more social and inclusive world at the same time? As an Activities Volunteer at Careibu, you organize outings, events, drinks and other meeting moments for seniors and children and students who are matched as buddies. What does Careibu do? At Careibu everything revolves around 'social care'. Within our community we connect young people to seniors (with dementia) for help and companionship. In addition to these volunteer projects, we also have paid services for young people, such as babysitting student, cleaning student or senior & student. In this way we want to connect different generations and give young people the opportunity to contribute socially while developing their own talents. What is an activities volunteer? As an activities volunteer, you enrich the buddy program (and the lives) of the various children, seniors & young people who participate. During your 6-month journey you will set up different types of events and outings so that you give matches the opportunity: 0 Do something different for once than just walk or drink coffee 0 You give the matches a new chance to connect with each other (by 0 Gives young people the opportunity to meet other young people who are doing this process 0 Giving seniors & children the opportunity to broaden their network You will also have intensive contact with the Careibu team. You are the bridge between the local student community and us as a team. You will also be matched with a senior in your area! What are you going to do? - Organize outings, events and drinks for couples in your city - Establishing partnerships with various cultural bodies - Administrative tasks, keeping an overview, planning and coordination; - Working together in a team of other enthusiastic young people
