Budgetbuddies 010 wants to offer Rotterdam residents with financial problems help in an accessible way by linking them to a Budgetbuddy. The Budget Buddy offers the person seeking help social and practical support and helps to (re)gain control over his or her finances. Promoting the financial independence of the person seeking assistance is a priority at Budgetmaatjes 010. As a Budget Buddy you will visit the person seeking assistance at home one day a week, during the current program (1-2 years). You will help, among other things, to regain an overview of income, expenses and (impending) debts, to create a good budget plan, and possibly support you in registering for a Debt Assistance program. During the process you will be linked to a permanent coordinator who will guide you. What do we offer: Before they can get started, the Budget buddies receive training for 2 Saturdays. The Budgetbuddies participate in an Intervision 5 times a year. The Budgetbuddies attend a course or workshop twice a year. In your role as a volunteer hostess/host, you accompany elderly people (average age 80+) to the theater, cinema or museum at least 6 times a year. Participating elderly people (3 at a time) will be personally picked up by you in your own car, accompanied during the performance and brought home afterwards. During the outing you offer a supporting arm and the warm coziness needed to enjoy a wonderful afternoon or evening together. In order to successfully perform your role as hostess/host, you have an affinity with the elderly, you are open and accessible and you listen sincerely to others. You also have a great sense of responsibility, you are proactive and you have good communication and social skills. You are in possession of a valid driver's license and a 5-door car (in connection with a possible walker) including passenger insurance. Then this is your chance to become part of our team as a volunteer energy coach at our information points! As an energy coach at the Energiebank Rotterdam you are the face of our organization. You will help people with questions about everything related to energy. Whether it concerns savings tips, providing insight into energy bills or assistance with energy-saving measures, you are ready to speak to people and point them in the right direction. But that is not everything! As a volunteer energy coach you get the freedom to grow our information points and build networks in Rotterdam. You come into contact with Rotterdam residents in an accessible way and learn exactly what is going on in the city. It's a great opportunity to meet a diverse group of people and directly contribute to their well-being. We also offer you extensive training, so that you can be well prepared to start working as an energy coach. Whether you already have experience in the energy industry or are just excited to learn something new, we welcome all backgrounds and levels of experience. This year we are greening the garden of Rotterdammers who do not have the health, wallet or network for this themselves. These are regularly Rotterdammers who have to deal with loneliness. For some of them we are looking for several garden buddies to provide the garden with maintenance every quarter. This is allowed alone, but can also be done together. Think of weeding and trimming the hedge. It is also the intention to make time for a chat. We are mainly working in Vreewijk this year, but also at a few in Noord. Next year we hope to expand and get started in even more districts, so if you are interested, please inquire :)

Children's art hall Villa Zebra is looking for new public supervisors who can supervise children's parties on a voluntary basis and give the birthday boy an unforgettable day! In the weekends, children between the ages of 2 and 6 often come to celebrate their birthday in our museum. For this we are looking for enthusiastic supervisors who can supervise the parties. Are you: * Available on weekends, on call basis * Not afraid to stand in front of a group of children and guide a group * Good command of the Dutch language (there must be a lot of talking, reading and explaining during the parties) * Independent, but also able to work with other volunteers. This is what you will do: * 30 minutes before the start of the party, make sure that there are no other visitors in the party room and decorate the room according to the chosen theme. * Receiving the birthday group in Villa Zebra, and then taking everyone to the decorated party room. * A full program has been prepared. Depending on which party the parent/child chooses, readings are given, a workshop is given, and there is a lot of fun to be played in the exhibition ZELF! and you provide VIP guidance. * Finally, all children receive lemonade with decorated cupcakes and the birthday boy receives a present from Villa Zebra. * After this you clean up the party room again * The party program lasts 1.5 hours, including setting up and cleaning up takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. This is what you can expect from us: * A cozy and close-knit team of volunteers who have a passion for art, education and children * You walk along with the current children's parties supervisors a few times * It is also possible to help as a public supervisor when there are no parties. Do you have time to spare and would you like to do something for someone else? We are always looking for volunteers for our organization. For Aafje location De Twee Bruggen we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who will take a nice walk outside with our guests in the area. You can choose the day and time on which you would like to do this. What are you going to do: You pick up the guest (in a wheelchair or walker) and go outside together for a lovely walk in the neighborhood. You can possibly have a cup of coffee/tea together or do some small shopping in the adjacent Keizerswaard shopping center or on the Spinozaweg. They love talking to the guest about the past or present while walking! Getting away from it all is so nice! What are we looking for: We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who has patience and can also deal well with the elderly. You will work in a pleasant working environment with a collegial working atmosphere. You will have a permanent supervisor. You are also entitled to travel expenses and refreshments. Do you want to contribute to a better relationship between neighbours? Are you a good listener, do you remain impartial and do you enjoy helping others in their search for improvement? Then we would like to talk to you. Because your understanding, patience and attention help others to reduce the nuisance they experience. The help of Neighbourhood Mediation Rotterdam is often requested when neighbours find it difficult to talk to each other or do not easily come to mutual agreements together. Because it is sometimes difficult to have a positive, future-oriented conversation. You as a neighbourhood mediator are then the trained volunteer who will mediate. You do this by visiting neighbours together with a trained colleague neighbourhood mediator. How? We often help both neighbours in personal conversations to clarify with them - what is most bothering them emotionally, - what are possible and realistic wishes and - how to discuss this effectively with the neighbour. So we are not there for one (1) neighbour, we help both neighbours. By talking to the neighbours about the less pleasant situation, helping them to listen to each other openly and finding their own solutions together that everyone agrees with. Mediation is therefore not a matter of 'who wins and who loses' or 'this must and that may not'. Mediation is successful if the residents involved go home with a positive feeling and possibly agreements that everyone wants to keep to. Neighbourhood mediators normally visit people at home, are active throughout Rotterdam and plan the appointments with the neighbours themselves. Are you a good listener, are you impartial and do you want to help others? Would you like to visit others together with your colleague?
