Planning talent wanted!

As a planning talent, you help make it possible for residents to start thinking about mobility options again, without always having to rely on family/neighbours or friends and thus keep control of their own lives. Residents and visitors to the neighbourhood can make better use of all the beauty that is already there and that transport does not have to be an obstacle to getting out and about. The function As a planner, you are the linchpin. Behind the scenes, you do great work so that Buurt Mobiel can run smoothly. You are responsible for planning and distributing journeys across the available vehicles. For this function, you can schedule yourself flexibly (morning or afternoon in consultation). One or more fixed half days is of course also negotiable. You can already work from 2 half days per month. Can also be filled in as a duo function. The morning shift is from 8:30 to 12:45 and the afternoon shift from 12:30 to 16:30 approximately. Our location is wheelchair accessible! Tasks Accepting transport questions from customers by telephone. Processing rides in Excel. Assigning rides to the drivers on duty by telephone (we have a service telephone for this). Informing the customer about rates, in which districts we drive, opening hours, etc. The profile As a ride planner, you are customer-friendly, patient and helpful. You see it as a challenge to get last-minute rides scheduled. Experience as a centralist (at a taxi center) is not necessary. You can handle the computer and specifically Excel and are handy with the smartphone and WhatsApp. You preferably have knowledge of the districts of Overvecht, Zuilen, Ondiep, Noordoost or are willing to learn this. We will of course train you well. You have organizational insight. You are independent and responsible. You have a good oral and written command of the Dutch language. You are willing to follow our induction program. You keep agreements. We offer • appreciation, conviviality and guidance • insurance during the work • volunteer agreement if desired • professional development • a volunteer meeting once a year And above all a group of enthusiastic colleagues with whom you make a difference for the elderly and other residents of the neighbourhood. Make a lonely elderly person in your neighborhood happy!

Weekly · 2 to 4 hours
Oma's Soep

Do you want to contribute to the life of an elderly person in your area? You can make the difference. Become a volunteer at Grandma's Soep! We are Oma's Soep, a fast-growing social enterprise that combats loneliness among the elderly by bringing young and old together. We do this by organizing old-fashioned fun cooking days, visiting lonely elderly people in the neighborhood and by organizing extraordinary events. We finance all of this by selling our fresh and healthy soups and meals in food service and retail. We are now active in 14 cities and visit more than a thousand elderly people throughout the Netherlands every week. Our goal is to make as many elderly people happy as possible and you can help us with that! We currently organize two types of activities throughout the Netherlands every week. Cooking days The Grandma's Soup Cooking Days are always about fun and enjoyment. It is a unique combination to make delicious soups together with young and old. During the Cooking Days, vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away are used. The Cooking Days are organized at various locations and participation takes approximately 3 hours. An afternoon full of board games, tall stories, even more jokes and of course delicious soup! Soup-at-home days With the Soep-at-home days we reach the elderly who need company the most. We reach a large group of vulnerable elderly people through local GPs, physiotherapists, the supermarket around the corner and many other supporters. Every week we deliver packages full of our delicious soup, a motivating card and a surprise to the home of the elderly in your area. Take a moment to have a cup of coffee with your neighbor, take a walk or do something together. The Soup-at-home day is organized weekly from a fixed location and participation takes approximately 2-3 hours. Your smile, pleasant chat or short moment of contact can make a world of difference for our elderly. Everyone is welcome at Oma's Soep and participation is free for both volunteers and the elderly. Register by visiting our website for your city for current dates, times and locations. NEW! Grandma's Pen/Call Friend In addition to our weekly activities throughout the Netherlands, we now also bring young and old into contact with each other to become Pen or Call Friends. This means that volunteers and elderly people occasionally send each other a card/letter or call each other, creating a personal bond. In this way we combat loneliness on an even larger scale and at a deeper level. Are you participating? Take a look at our page where all the grandparents who would like to get in touch with someone like you are listed. Discover their hobbies and interests, leave a message with the person who appeals to you, and who knows, you might soon have a new friend to write or call!

Do you think it would be a great challenge to help someone overcome loneliness? As a volunteer at Maatje op Maat, you support someone for about a year in realizing a change wish. Together you set an achievable goal. Perhaps that means restoring old contacts or establishing new ones. Or perhaps it is about finding a suitable hobby or activity to undertake together with others. You follow the participant's pace, but do not hesitate to stimulate the participant where this seems necessary. You may see or speak to each other every week, but sometimes once every two weeks is enough. Sometimes you go out together, other times you offer a listening ear. Who are you? - You have a positive and open attitude, you make contact easily. - You focus on the participant's possibilities, not on the problems and limitations. - You enjoy motivating someone, but you can also direct someone. - You are available for at least 1 year for 2 hours a week, or every other week. - You live in Utrecht or the surrounding area. What do we offer? - We make a careful match; we will match you with a participant who suits you well. - We offer guidance and (online) training. - Reimbursement of any transport costs. - Meaningful and rewarding volunteer work where you can make a big difference for someone. Interested? Do you want to get started? Register via the registration button. The coordinators will contact you to get to know you further. You will also hear more about the working method of this project. Not sure yet? Ask your question to our coordinators Maud and Ellen by sending a message.
