Contact Circle Coordinator
Tilburg

Contact Circle Coordinator

Weekly · 4 to 6 hours
Rode Kruis Regio Zuid - (Brabant / Zeeland / Limburg)

With the Well Prepared activities, the Red Cross focuses on preparing for emergency situations and accidents in and around the home. During emergency situations, people are initially dependent on themselves and others in the immediate vicinity before professional help arrives. In every neighborhood there is someone who has little contact with the environment. Someone who does not often talk to the neighbors and does not like to rely on others. Such a person is vulnerable when something goes wrong. In an emergency, someone may need help, but there is no one to fall back on. With the Red Cross contact circle, people do not go unnoticed. In order to realize this, we are looking for an enthusiastic contact circle coordinator in Tilburg who wants to shape this. A Contact Circle is a group of people who form a circle together by having contact with each other every day to ask if everything is going well. The goal of the circle is that a participant never goes unnoticed for more than 24 hours. In addition, the circle also functions as an information channel in times of emergency. The contacts are often made by telephone, but other means of communication are also possible. The Red Cross organizes these contact circles at a local level. What will you do? As coordinator of the contact circle, you are the first point of contact for the volunteers. It is important that they know that someone is there for them and can advise them if they have any questions. The volunteers can call if a participant of the contact circle does not answer or if they want to tell their story. It is important that they feel heard and safe. About once a month you take the initiative yourself and call the volunteers so that there are short lines of communication between them. Furthermore: · Register your participants and take care of new participants to keep the circle running · You manage any waiting lists and keep the district coordinator informed of the progress. · You look for new participants and volunteers in collaboration with the Social Domain team · You conduct the intake interviews with participants. · Twice a year you organize a (in)formal meeting for all volunteers of the contact circle for your location as a thank you for their efforts What do we ask? · Someone who is preferably available 1 or 2 fixed mornings per week · Has knowledge of administrative programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel. We also work with Teams for online meetings and document management · Affinity with the target group of the contact circle, the elderly · Empathy and patience · A certificate of good conduct (VOG), which we will request for you free of charge. What do we offer you? Working in a team that is still developing and which you can therefore help shape yourself. Meetings to exchange experiences with other coordinators. The opportunity to gain knowledge and experience as a coordinator for one (or more) contact circle(s). The opportunity to follow internal training courses including GoodHabitz, a learning platform that all Red Cross volunteers can use. Travel and expense allowance and insurance. Interested? Are you interested in this position or would you like to know more first? Click on the button below 'I want to help'.

Fundraiser

Rode Kruis Regio Zuid - (Brabant / Zeeland / Limburg)

Helping people in need, that is what the Red Cross stands for. Close to home or a little further away. For example, we help with the food shortage in the Netherlands by providing grocery cards to families together with local partners or, in collaboration with schools, breakfast bags for children. Contact Circle Coordinator (volunteer)

Weekly · 1 to 4 hours
Rode Kruis Regio Zuid - (Brabant / Zeeland / Limburg)

With the ‘Well prepared’ activities, the Red Cross focuses on preparing for emergency situations and accidents in and around the home. During emergency situations, people initially have to rely on themselves and others in the immediate vicinity before professional help arrives. In every neighbourhood there is someone who has little contact with the environment. Someone who does not often talk to the neighbours and does not like to rely on others. These are people who can be vulnerable when something is wrong. In an emergency, the person may need help, but there is no one he/she/they can fall back on. With the Red Cross Contact Circle, these people do not go unnoticed. In order to realise this, we are looking for an enthusiastic Contact Circle Coordinator in Limburg. The Contact Circle is a group of people who form a circle together by having contact with each other every day to ask if everything is going well. The aim of the circle is that a participant never goes unnoticed for longer than one day. In addition, the circle also functions as an information channel in times of emergency. We want to realise at least 5 Contact Circles for Limburg. You will look for participants for a (new) Contact Circle. You will manage volunteers who will start calling the participants. It is important that they know that you are there for them and can advise them if they have any questions. The volunteers will call you if a participant of the contact circle does not answer or if they want to tell their story. It is important that they feel heard and safe. You will work within the ‘Goed Voorbereid’ programme in the Contact Circle, which consists of volunteers and people who have registered for the Contact Circle. There are other coordinators that you can always contact. - You will hold intake interviews with new participants and volunteers. - You provide a call schedule and ensure that this reaches the participants. - You supervise volunteers who have contact with the participants and provide information about the Contact Circle. - You register participants, ensure new participants to keep the circle running and keep the CHV of the Limburg area informed of progress. - You act as an information channel between the Limburg area and the participants. - You regularly keep in touch with the volunteers to see if the circle is running well. - You organize a physical or online meeting for connection as needed. - You ensure awareness in the Limburg area for this Contact Circle and recruit participants where possible. What do we ask? - You are 18 years or older. - You are available for approximately 4 hours per week. - You live in Limburg. - You have empathy and good communication and social skills. - You are an initiator and can set up a new Contact Circle when necessary. - Identifies obstacles / problems or needs and takes steps to overcome this. - You have knowledge of administrative programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel. The Red Cross helps people who just miss out on other initiatives and still have trouble putting a healthy meal on the table every day, with grocery cards. Unfortunately, there is a large group of people who do not have access to regular help. This could be because their income is just a few euros too much or because they do not have their administration completely in order due to all the financial stress. We work together with local partners to distribute grocery cards. These local partners include foundations, social organizations and community centers. These are aid organizations that have feelers in the neighborhood/region and have close contact with people in need of food. Are you someone with a passion for people and do you want to make a difference for the Red Cross in West Brabant? We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer for our Helpdesk! What will you do? You are the first point of contact for people seeking help from our region who contact the Red Cross for food aid in the form of grocery cards. You answer their questions and help them on their way by providing them with information about the possibilities and by connecting them to the right person in the social field. You independently handle small questions from clients and perform a screening with new clients. What do you bring? You: - communicate in a friendly and clear manner - preferably have a background as a care provider (nurse, social worker) - are accessible and open to the diversity of our clients - ensure a warm transfer of the client to partner organizations - perform light administrative tasks to monitor the structure of the helpdesk - can make an overview of the network partners per municipality - are available for 4-8 hours per week (preferably for 3 months or longer) - have good knowledge of MS Office and you are not afraid to work in online systems What do we offer you? - An enthusiastic team in Breda or Tilburg with both volunteers and professionals where your efforts really make the difference - The opportunity to use and expand your social skills - Reimbursement of any travel expenses and you are insured during your work Do you want to contribute to our team? Over Rood

Short description: Are you that entrepreneur who wants to spend some free time supporting entrepreneurs who have financial worries or problems? Can you make a difference for these entrepreneurs and help them get out of a negative spiral? Are you empathetic and involved? Then you are the one Over Rood is looking for. Register as a trajectory manager! Register as a trajectory manager at Over Rood (volunteer work) Do you make a difference for entrepreneurs who are struggling with financial problems? These entrepreneurs are worried about the future and sometimes consider quitting as self-employed. They (often too late) find their way in the confusing world of aid, but do not find the solution to an existence with sufficient financial security. Do you want to help them by being an equal discussion partner, who thinks along with them and can guide them towards a financially healthy future? What will you do as a volunteer? You guide entrepreneurs in going through a support trajectory via Over Rood. The objective of each trajectory is that the client can start working on solving their problems themselves and working towards a financially healthy future. However, no trajectory is the same. Sometimes the request for help is purely financial-administrative, while other entrepreneurs need support in the area of business operations. You share your knowledge and experience with your client and help them to get structure and overview in their business operations. You help with difficult choices. You are a sparring partner and offer a listening ear. You get entrepreneurs out of a negative spiral and help them pick up the thread again. On average, you guide 5 to 10 clients per year, with a time investment of approximately 4 hours per week. What do you get out of it? In addition to the appreciation of clients and satisfaction in your work, you have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the Dutch economy and a healthy business climate with your knowledge and experience. You meet socially committed colleagues who, just like you, use their knowledge, experience and strength to really make a difference for our clients. You have an independent position, in which you can determine your own hours and you can count on expert and professional support from the Over Rood organization. You will receive a solid and educational internal training and a (generous) expense allowance. Who is Over Rood? Over Rood is a national volunteer organization that has been helping entrepreneurs to regain an overview and insight into their finances for over 10 years. Every year, more than 6,000 entrepreneurs are successfully helped. Over Rood has 20 branches spread across the country, which are led by branch managers. More than 200 volunteers now use their experience and knowledge to help colleagues selflessly. Not by taking over the problems, but by coaching and working together, with the aim of ensuring that the entrepreneur can work on a debt-free future on his own. Empathetic, unbiased and accessible are core values of Over Rood. Over Rood is growing rapidly. More and more entrepreneurs are calling on the organization or are referred by the municipality and other authorities. This requires more manpower. Do you recognize yourself in the profile of a trajectory manager at Over Rood? • You have knowledge and extensive experience as an independent entrepreneur, director, operational manager or business manager. Experience with debt problems is a plus. • You like to share your knowledge and experience and find it a challenge to get people into their own power. • You have knowledge of and experience with managing/coaching/leading (groups of) people. • You are empathetic and can empathize with the problems, the mental situation and the living conditions of the client, without becoming emotionally involved. You have understanding and patience and adapt to the pace of the client. • You have HBO/university work and thinking level and master the Dutch language in speech and writing. Register as a volunteer at Over Rood by sending a message. We will then be happy to contact you.
