On behalf of a resident of the neighborhood, I am making an appeal! ''I am looking for (a somewhat) older woman who wants to be my buddy and wants to do activities with me. I prefer to go to the shops, black market, cinema or theater together. I like to be picked up at home and brought home. I am a 58 year old woman myself, I work during the week but in the weekend I am often at home alone. I would like to see this change and with this appeal I hope to meet someone!?'' Madam would like to do something fun with a buddy every now and then. Madam does not have a car/driver's license, but would like to get in with you or possibly with public transport. Doing something fun together, who wouldn't want that? I hope to find a nice match through this way, I will be present at the introduction. For more information, you can contact me. :) I look forward to receiving your response, Jody Vermeulen - Generalist Neighbourhood Team Europawijk - Molenwijk [phone number hidden] [email address hidden]

Help with choosing a wardrobe & hobby room

Monthly · 1 to 4 hours
Buurts

Dear volunteer, On behalf of an enthusiastic resident of Meerwijk, I am looking for someone who can help every now and then with sorting out the items in the wardrobe & hobby room. The lady in question unfortunately does not have enough energy to do this independently due to her physical limitations. In order to relieve her partner (he already does so much!), we are looking for a volunteer for this fun job! It involves sorting out her wardrobe (what can go and what can stay?) and sorting hobby items. The lady is also able to help herself, although this is no longer than fifteen minutes, after which she has to take a break again. Since this job also comes to an end, it is a one-time request in that sense, but perhaps it will be necessary to meet up a few times. Greetings, On behalf of Annemiek. Humanitas

In addition to a good conversation, are you also a fan of (pop) music or does a movie night appeal to you? Remco (63) is a calm, well-developed man with whom a volunteer (non-smoking) can build a good bond. Due to a physical disability, he is often housebound and needs more social contacts and activities. Do you have some time to spare and would you like to get to know Remco? As a Humanitas Ontmoeting volunteer, you will regularly visit someone who feels lonely or has few social contacts. Humanitas provides customized solutions for the connections: the click between you is therefore important. The contact can consist of a nice chat, an in-depth conversation, a game, a walk, a museum visit or another activity outside the home. You agree together how often you will visit. Who are you? • You recognize yourself in the standards and values of Humanitas: you stand next to the participant, do not take over the direction and focus on the other person's question. • You have a genuine interest in others and are not quick to judge. • You have good social and communication skills. You have life experience, a sense of humor and a great sense of perspective. What do we offer? Good education and personal guidance. Trainings (both physical and online) enable you to do your volunteer work as well as possible. Regular follow-up meetings. Third-party insurance: if you cause damage, it will be reimbursed. Travel expenses (mileage allowance for the car / public transport costs). Does this call appeal to you? Then I would like to get in touch with you as soon as possible. Voluntary Toad Working Group Elswout/Koningshof

Project · weekly 2 to 4 hours
Jan

Numbers and populations of amphibians are under great pressure due to various causes, including the increase in traffic intensity. The numbers have decreased by 60% since 2000. The efforts of volunteers contribute significantly to the continued existence of local populations of toads, frogs and salamanders. In the Kennemerland region, more than 300 volunteers are active in 16 toad working groups at 37 different amphibian migration locations. Approximately 20,000 toads, frogs and salamanders are safely transferred each year. The migration usually takes place between early February and mid-April. In order to contribute as a volunteer, a fixed time in the week (more is also possible) is preferred. At the Elswout-Koningshof toad working group, the activity consists of transferring amphibians from buckets along guides in the morning. If you are interested, please state: Elswout-Koningshof location. More toad working groups are active within the boundaries of the municipality. If you prefer Bleek en Berg, Duin en Daal, Brouwerskolk, Alverna, Elswout-Koningshof or Aerdenhout, please indicate this when interested. Activities take place there in the evening and/or morning.
