Volunteer Preventive Home Visit 75+

Short description A shrinking social circle, reduced health, reduced mobility; that is what seniors aged 75 and over are faced with. As a result, they are increasingly housebound. Government policy is aimed at stimulating personal self-reliance and independence of, among others, seniors. An attempt is made to support them in this in such a way that they are able to continue living at home for as long and as pleasantly as possible. In order to be able to implement this policy effectively, the municipality of IJsselstein wants to be able to estimate the expected future questions in the areas of care, welfare, housing, finances and mobility. In this way, facilities and activities can be organised in good time that will contribute to seniors remaining in control of their own lives for as long as possible. Activity The Pulse Foundation is responsible for the implementation of the Preventive Home Visit 75+ project. The aim of this project is to gain insight into the living situation of seniors, their wishes and needs during a home visit. The volunteer provides information about activities, facilities and regulations for seniors aged 75 and over. Each time you will be given 10 addresses to visit and you can plan this yourself. Expectation A home visit lasts approximately 1 hour. You can decide for yourself whether you want to make one or more visits per week. As a Pulse volunteer, you are insured while carrying out the work and you will receive information about the facilities and regulations in IJsselstein for the elderly aged 75+. There is an information folder that you can take with you on home visits.
