Hanging curtain rails Hanging TV Assembling cabinets Hanging lamps
Dear volunteer, I am very happy with my new house, and am looking for someone who can help me with odd jobs in my new house, such as hanging things (lamps, paintings, shelves, possibly assembling cabinets etc.) Styling is one of my passions, but I am not very handy with odd jobs. In addition, I have chronic complaints that prevent me from doing odd jobs at full capacity. I also find it fun and enjoyable if I can do these odd jobs together with someone! I am looking for someone who can help out occasionally for a few hours over a period of about 2 or 3 months. The ideas for the house will come when I live there. If this seems like fun, I would be very grateful for help with this job. And thinking along is also welcome! Kind regards, Bianca

Inspire primary schools in the Netherlands and contribute to a better future for children in Kenya. KidsCare, together with Wilde Ganzen, is organizing a unique awareness and fundraising campaign at primary schools in the Netherlands in 2025. The goal? Making children aware of global citizenship and together raising €10,000 for families in Lungalunga, Kenya - an amount that Wilde Ganzen will double. The campaign is concrete and tangible: students save for chickens and cows, with which the most vulnerable families in LungaLunga can build a sustainable income. What will you do? As coordinator, you are the driving force behind this campaign. If there is mutual enthusiasm, the position can be continued after this action. What do we offer? • An inspiring role in which you make a direct impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families in Kenya. • The opportunity to make children in the Netherlands aware of their role in global cooperation. • Become part of the KidsCare family, both in the Netherlands and in Kenya. • Gain experience in project coordination, education and fundraising. • Flexibility in determining your hours and Join us! As a TOMaatje you contribute to the future of children with a refugee background by helping them with their schoolwork. Volunteers at Open Embassy support newcomer families in finding their way in the Dutch education system. Make an impact with this valuable volunteer work and help online or physically with primary or secondary school subjects for 1 to 2 hours per week. What are you going to do: As a TOMaatje you help a child/young person (7-18 years) from a newcomer family when education is not going well. You offer support in an accessible way with doing homework, practicing the Dutch language and other difficult school subjects. Involving parents in their children's school work also ensures that you take on the role of mentor and buddy. You agree when it suits you, the child/young person and the parents best. This is done in consultation. The guidance takes place online, physically at your or your family's home, or at a public location such as a library. What do you get from us: - An online training program to help you get started. - Access to an online community for sharing tips and knowledge. - Information meetings about intercultural communication or professional knowledge. - Multiple intervisions per year. What we ask of you: - You master the Dutch language. - You are familiar with the Dutch education system. - You get along well with children. - You are open-minded and curious about other cultures. - You have to agree on the time and space: at least 1 hour per week for a longer period. Working as TOMaatje: Through your efforts you ensure that children and young people improve their Dutch language and can ask questions about their homework. This is very important for their school career. You can also support the parents and familiarize them with the Dutch school system. Working as TOMaatje is therefore meaningful work with a major social impact. At the same time, you get to know a newcomer family better and become part of a community of about 300 other enthusiastic TOMaatjes. Join! Are you willing and available to guide a child? Sign up as an education buddy and help a child or young person from a newcomer family with school work. Would you like to know more or participate? Respond to this vacancy or register on our website.
For our participants, we are looking for fun, enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy meeting up once a week or once a fortnight to do fun things together, exchange experiences and at the same time work on a request for help. About us Stichting De Tussenvoorziening offers various forms of shelter and guidance to people in a vulnerable situation. Our target group often has to deal with problems such as a psychiatric disorder, addiction, debts and/or social exclusion. Our goal is for people to be able to participate fully and (as) independently (as possible) in society again. What will you do? As a buddy, you will go out with your buddy for a few hours once a week or once a fortnight or meet up at home. You will do fun things together, such as drinking a cup of coffee, cooking or taking a walk. You will also work on a request for help from your buddy. For example: 'I want to exercise, but I don't dare to do it alone' or 'I want to discover what there is to do in the neighbourhood, but I don't know how'. You help your buddy to take the first step so that he can eventually do it himself. What do you bring? The most important thing we ask of you is that you want to do something for fellow human beings who are having a hard time. For our buddies we also ask: • You like to get to know new people • You take the initiative to maintain contact. • You are interested in our target group: (ex) homeless people with often psychological and addiction problems. • You are reliable, patient and enthusiastic. • You are someone who does not judge quickly. • You have time to meet once a week / every two weeks for the next 6 months. It is precisely the small things that yield a lot for our participants: they feel seen and heard and human again! In addition, we offer you: • Meaningful contact • Courses and training offered by the Tussenvoorziening • Expense allowance for your own costs • Guidance from the Buddy Team • Invitations to drinks and meetings Do you feel like making someone happy for 1 to 2 hours a week through a chat and a small activity? Register and send a message to [email address hidden] Together we make the difference! We are also specifically looking for Rainbow Buddies (for LHBTIQ+ people who want to support vulnerable fellow LHBTIQ+ people) and digital buddies (for people who need support in the digital field).
