The NVA regional board Noord-Brabant/Zeeland strives for the largest possible safety net for people with autism and their environment. The province of Brabant now has 11 Autism Information Centres (AIC). The AIC offers information to people who are dealing with autism in various ways. The strength and uniqueness of the AIC lies in the peer contact supervised by experts by experience. AIC Roosendaal organises, among other things, peer contacts and theme mornings/evenings. The tasks of a coordinator include supervising and managing an enthusiastic team of volunteers and maintaining contact with the regional board. Tasks include: - Planning an activity programme. - Making a schedule with the volunteers. - Supervising/managing the volunteers. - Leading the theme meetings in collaboration with the volunteers. - Maintain contact and collaborate with the NVA regional board - Support and source of information for the volunteers. Our participants are very diverse, from a Turkish housewife who wants to talk better with her child's teacher, a refugee who wants to practice the Dutch language outside the integration lessons or a Moroccan car mechanic who wants to be able to talk more smoothly at the coffee machine. Very different people who have one thing in common: to learn to speak Dutch better to be able to do their daily activities more easily. For some time now we have been in possession of a 2-person mobility scooter with which we can go out with the residents. With this mobility scooter, the intention is that the volunteer drives the mobility scooter. Some knowledge of this is therefore desirable. Humanity Game is an educational game in which students step into the shoes of a Red Cross aid worker. They have to make difficult decisions that aid workers face in their work. Which relief supplies would they use during a serious disaster? Do you provide medical aid first or clean drinking water? In the Humanity Game, students experience that providing emergency aid is not easy. What will you do? As a game leader, you play this educational game together with the students and encourage them to think carefully and make the right choices. Using interactive videos, they make choices in groups in which they step into the shoes of a Red Cross aid worker. The guest lessons are given in secondary and higher education. Child center De Klimroos is located in the Kortendijk district in Roosendaal. The beautiful building has a lovely school library where students like to borrow books. To expand the team of volunteers, De Klimroos is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer. For whom? People who have an affinity with children's books, who enjoy maintaining the library and showing students the ropes in the school library are invited to respond. The school library in De Klimroos is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The school is open from 9:00 to 14:00. A recent Certificate of Conduct must be available.
