In the event of a disaster or crisis, the team of Population Care volunteers is ready to provide assistance to those affected. The Red Cross supports municipalities with population care tasks, such as the evacuation and reception of residents after a fire or flood. Or the reception of people during a tragic event. You are their first point of contact, offer practical help and a listening ear. Population Care volunteers are only deployed a few times a year. What we ask of you: • You are helpful and willing to roll up your sleeves • You have good social skills, are stress-resistant and flexible • You are able to travel to the deployment location with your own transport when called • You have an extensive first aid diploma or are willing to obtain this (free of charge) and follow the basic Population Care course • You then follow the necessary additional training • You are flexible in your deployment What we offer you: • A good feeling, because you contribute to the work of the Red Cross • You get the chance to use your first aid knowledge and skills and keep them up to date • Various training courses and unlimited access to the online e-learning platform • You receive travel expenses and you are insured through the Red Cross while carrying out your task • The opportunity to increase your expertise and use/develop your talents Want to know more or apply right away?
