The Dutch Red Cross helps people in need, around the corner and far away, from our hearts and with our sleeves rolled up, that is what we stand for. We do this with many volunteers who are committed every day. Heroes who take a step forward when things get tense and who put their shoulders to the wheel when necessary so that no one is alone in times of need. In the Netherlands we work from 23 districts. The Flevoland district consists of the locations Almere, Dronten, Lelystad, Noordoostpolder and Zeewolde. Together we have approximately 375 volunteers. We are active in many areas, first aid at events, food aid and aid to vulnerable migrants are just a few examples. The Red Cross is looking for employees with talent and excellent competencies for a position and is not guided by cultural background, physical limitations, gender identity, religious beliefs, orientation or age. Then we would like to get in touch with you for the position of: District Coordinator Logistics – voluntary (8-12 hours per week) Function The District Coordinator (DC) logistics is the point of contact within the district in the field of logistics processes. In addition, the DC logistics is responsible for coordinating and keeping all logistics matters in order in the district; In close cooperation with the DC Facility and Location Coordinators (LCs) Facility & Logistics, the DC Logistics ensures that the national guidelines are complied with and that changes in the national policy are implemented within the district and the locations; The DC Logistics is alert to bottlenecks and sees where (process) improvements can be implemented; Your duties The DC Logistics is responsible for all logistics matters in the district; Monitors and improves the quality of the processes at district level; Is responsible for good logistics facilities for every professional and volunteer to be able to work well; Involves the Facility & Logistics working group (consisting of the DC Facility, the DC Logistics and the LCs Facility & Logistics) in current affairs; Makes plans, organizes and checks; Coordinates, among other things, all facility and logistics processes. Is responsible for, for example, the logistics process of application, planning, execution, handling and inventory management. Participates in any national consultations and consultations within the district; What do you bring? You are able to develop a vision in the field of logistics; You take responsibility, you have a customer-oriented and proactive role and you are stress-resistant; You are enthusiastic, accurate and independent; You have good organizational and communication skills, a "hands-on mentality" and the ability to improvise; You have knowledge of logistics processes; You have an HBO work and thinking level, gained through education and/or experience; You have experience in working with volunteers; You live in (near) Flevoland. What do we expect We expect our volunteers to commit themselves and act according to the seven basic principles and the code of conduct of the Red Cross.
