As a volunteer at Thuisadministratie and Get a Grip, you help people get and keep their finances in order. This can be done if someone just needs a push in the right direction, but also if there are debts or at the beginning and end of debt assistance. After a year, most people can continue on their own. “Together with the volunteer, I drew up a financial overview so that my income and expenditure were clear again. Things are going much better now! The arrears have been cleared up, the administration is in order and I am now putting money in my savings account.” – Leon, participant in Thuisadministratie About volunteering at Thuisadministratie and Get a Grip You help someone get an overview of their income and expenditure. It is not getting any easier for many people to keep an overview of all the regulations and it is complicated to fill in forms and apply for various allowances. You will work on this together, so that someone can continue with confidence after a year. About the people you do it for At Thuisadministratie we support people, young and old, who do not have their administration and finances in order and want to learn how to do this, so that they can continue on their own after a maximum of one year. The condition is that people are motivated and able to take steps For young people aged 16 to 25 we have Get a Grip, where the specially trained volunteer helps teach young people how to manage their finances. About you We are looking for volunteers who: Have an affinity and/or experience with administration and financial matters Are willing to follow training courses so that you are and remain well-educated Are available for 2 to 3 hours per week for a period of at least one year Respect and pay attention to other standards and values Able to deal well with confidential information A good listener and able to motivate others Able to commit themselves to someone else for a year For Get a Grip: have an open attitude towards young people It is mandatory for us to provide a certificate of conduct.
