Together walk challenge & FGM
The Week against Loneliness takes place every year in the first week of October . A week full of activities that stimulate social contacts and social networks. This year, the government's public campaign highlights 3 actions, one of which is the Samen Ommetje challenge from NLvoorelkaar.
The challenge is simple: don't go for a walk alone, but together with someone who can't or won't do it alone. Everyone is securely matched via the platform of NLvoorelkaar. Do you have room for these new volunteers? Join!
With this challenge we walk out of the world loneliness in an innovative way. Exercise is also good for health. And at the same time, we help social organizations to get in touch with new volunteers. So three birds with one stone.

Would you like to take a walk with one of our residents? That's healthy and fun!
We are participating in the Samen Ommetje challenge of the Week against Loneliness. When you sign up:
✅ We will connect you to one of our residents who are eager to take a walk together. Like Mrs. Jansen, who no longer literally kicks but rolls through life nicely. She has a lot to tell so entertainment and strong arm muscles are guaranteed.
✅ Together we choose a day / time and place to walk. That is also allowed after the Week against Loneliness!
✅ Followed by a cup of coffee or tea and more fun, if you want.

double Impact
Walking together gives a feeling of togetherness. You literally help each other forward. In addition, you also immediately work on your own brain health: it improves your memory, ensures that you sleep better and reduces stress. Exercise also reduces the risk of brain disorders such as dementia, depression and Parkinson's disease. In short; you help someone else and at the same time work on your own health.
